Source: City of Minneapolis open data, CCS_Permits (ArcGIS item df4bfccbe60b42a6a93fb7bc1fd84cc0), released under a CC0 1.0 waiver. The City provides the data as-is.
Dates: permits issued 2025-10-01 to 2026-09-30 (Central time), pulled from the City feed on 2026-10-15.
Filter: residential permits for single-family, two-family and townhouse occupancy. Accessory structures, new homes, detached garages, basement finishes and egress windows are excluded; Addition permits count only toward Decks, and only when deck-only. Duplicate permit numbers are counted once.
Trade: read from the permit description with keyword rules; the first matching trade wins in the order Solar, Roofing, Windows & Doors, Siding, Decks. Full rules.
Small counts: counts under 5 are shown as "fewer than 5". Declared value is the applicant's stated value on the permit, not the final cost.
These are the same counts as our Minneapolis and trade pages. Classification uses free text and can miss or mis-sort permits.
